User asked in the EA forum:

This game was recently released on Steam. Due to this, more players from around the world will have access to this game.

Due to high ping, it is hard to play an online only game, to the point where there is a noticeable lag, and some training sections are completely impossible.

Are there any plans at all for other servers in other countries, like Australia, etc.

Dear AscendingAnthem

This game has truly surpassed its own age. However, it’s important to know that the game has been constantly hacked since October 2018 by a hacker that EA has never acknowledged. Those who have bought this game before, in addition to horror prices, have already experienced it and know that EA’s servers have more than once been totally smashed by a hacker. This actually meant that the hacker was able to kick everyone out of the game server in a way that took advantage of the weaknesses of the server and the game, as well as the origin, and caused an artificially generated crash. At the same time, he kicked everyone off the server. We’ve been reporting on EA forums for months, but the answer to the problem has been that everyone who reported the problem has been silenced for months. As a result, the number of players worldwide has dropped significantly. Now, through the steam program, they cut the game for pennies that used to be paid a lot by others. EA’s attitude to what happened spat straight at players and their customers. Because most of the servers became empty, the servers were shut down instead of patches. How do they turn this back on? That’s a good question, but knowing EA’s attitude, I wouldn’t expect a big miracle.
